About this role…
The Senior Accountant will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:
Responsible for finalizing regular account reconciliations as well as EOM tasks. Understanding and reconciling Intercompany transactions (AU/US) and following internal processes for checks and balances. Preparation of internal reports and maintaining clean/accurate accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger Maintenance and Bookkeeping
- Balance sheet reconciliations. Accounts Payable/Receivable management
- Monthly reconciliations for debtor/creditor accounts
- Routinely reconciling job reports from the operations team to the master customer ledger to ensure billings are accurate
- Reviewing the installation reconciliation ledger
- Preparing and records assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintaining and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Month end preparation (for review):
o Preparing intercompany journal entries for recharges, travel, interest and Transfer Pricing
o Posting accrual entries for annual leave and long service leave
o Analysis of data to ensure anomalies are responded to
o First review of profit and loss and balance sheet for monthly reporting
- Maintaining the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
- Ensures SalesForce CRM is kept up to date, with collaboration from the operations team
- Protects organization's value by keeping confidential information
- Supervision of junior staff
- Offer open lines of communication between junior staff and management to ensure targets are met
- Reconcile GST that has gone through the fund with what's been paid to the ATO
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Preferably with knowledge in accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and Workflowmax
- Experience with the following platforms will be highly advantageous: Xero, SalesForce CRM, Microsoft Excel, Google Apps, Dext/ApprovalMax, Joiin/Numeric
- With minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Australian or US accounting experience is required
- Excellent communication skills
